At Futurisk, you’re not a number to us, you become a friend. We get to know you and your circumstances and support you whenever you need us.
Owning our first home
For every sacrifice, there is a prize.
Owning our first home seemed impossible to us at first. Every other year, we were jumping from different banks and one mortgage broker to another. But each time we did, it only just seemed to get harder and harder to get our feet on the first step of the property ladder. This journey brought us to Carmela Laylo of Futurisk Insurance Ltd. who was referred to us by a friend. She said that securing our first home would not be an easy journey. But it could be done and now is the perfect time to do it.
Her expertise in the field of acquiring a property kicked in immediately after assessing our financial situation. She gathered all the necessary information to secure a pre-approval from a lender who offers the best deal at time of our application.
Building our team started at home with our two children, whose valuable inputs could not be disregarded. Our solicitor and builder, both of whom are Filipinos and referred to us by friends, completed our team. Certainly, searching for the right house for us was challenging. We had to do this whilst attending to all of our other commitments and responsibilities: work; studying and upskilling; beekeeping; group affiliations; our kids. But then we finally found a place that we can call our "hive." Carmela then sprang into action, always updating and guiding us through bank requirements and required documents. And also always being on call, even on weekends and public holidays.
Carmela's passion, professionalism, and genuineness is beyond extraordinary. We highly recommend her services to anyone, kababayan or not alike. We, among the many clients she has guided, are living proof of her dedication, perseverance, and hard work. The result of which was the securing of a property we could call our home, and in just four months from us contacting her.
A loving and caring mother, Carmela also cares for her fellow kababayans too. And though she is based in Palmerston North, the distance between her and us in the Waikato never hindered her continued communication with us throughout our journey.
